Sparkle with Nicole by OPI's Kardashian Kolors
Okay, I admit it: I don’t love the Kardashians. I don’t watch their shows and I don’t buy their clothing line, but I do admire their marketing ability. They are geniuses at publicizing themselves and creating opportunities for the entire family to rake in the dough. If nothing else, you’ve got to respect them for that. So when I heard that they’d partnered with Nicole by OPI for a new holiday collection of nail polish shades, I was partly jealous (because seriously, how much fun would that be—I want to have my own nail polish collection!) and mostly very curious to see what the shades would look like. I wasn’t sure whether I would fall in love with them or mock them, but now that I’ve seen the entire collection, I’m back to being jealous because it’s a great set of colors.
There are fourteen shades, which is pretty big for a holiday collection. The shades are inspired by all six girls in the family—Kourtney, Kim and Khloe along with mom Kris and little sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner. There’s something for everyone—light neutrals all the way to super dark, vampy colors, with some bright and sparkly shades thrown in for good measure.

y favorite shades are probably the glitter ones, mainly because I’m super-into glittery manicures and pedicures at the moment. I absolutely adore Follow Me on Glitter—a glittery deep gray with sparkles of pink, green, gold and blue mixed in. It’s SO pretty and could actually work on either fingers or toes. I also really like the classic brick-red Sealed With A Kris. It’s a great manicure shade for the holidays and you could even layer a glittery topcoat. For a true neutral, I suggest going with My Empire… My Rules. It’s a cross between putty and taupe and it could easily go from day to night and look appropriate for both. If you’re looking for a fun pedicure shade to show off your toes on a holiday vacation, go with Wear Something Spar-Kylie. (Don’t you love the names of the colors? So cheeky and fun!) It’s a glittery pink that would look great on New Year’s Eve.
The Kardashian sisters celebrated the collection along with OPI co-founder and creative director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann at the opening of the Kardashian Khaos boutique at Las Vegas’s Mirage Hotel & Casino.
