Resetting with Ritual Cleanse

In Los Angeles, the juices are delivered to your doorstep between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. the day of the cleanse. (You can also pick them up yourself, or if you’re anywhere else in the country, have them overnighted.) I picked the Seasonal Reset, meaning I’d be drinking six juices per day for three days. The cleanse includes three of the Green Ginger juice (made up of spinach, romaine, kale, celery, cucumber, green apple, and ginger, a Seasonal Juice (mine was mango, pineapple, green apple, young coconut water), a Spicy Lemonade (agave, alkaline water, lemon, cayenne), and a Cashew Crunch (alkaline water, raw cashews, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and agave).
I can’t lie—at first, the green juice was a little hard to stomach, but by the end of the three days, it had grown on to me to the point where I was actually enjoying it. The other three juices were delicious. My favorite was the seasonal one—I could seriously drink it every single day and I’m so sad that I can’t buy it on its own. The one I got was the summer juice; the fall version (with pear and ginger) starts being offered this week.
I expected to be starving for the three days I was on the cleanse, but I wasn’t at all. Sure, it was a little hard to see other people in the office devouring their lunches, but the juices kept me so full, it really wasn’t difficult to make it through the three days. That totally shocked me, because I figured I’d be making a break for the nearest In-N-Out Burger by day two, and the thought never even occurred to me. And when I was done, I felt fabulous. My whole body felt lighter and healthier and I swear my skin was glowing. I loved knowing that for three days, I’d put nothing but great things into my body. It’s totally made me want to keep that going. After all, you can wear lots of makeup, but if your skin looks good and you feel healthy, you’re always going to look more beautiful.
I also love that the company’s philosophy is so environmentally conscious. All their juices are 100 percent organic because organic produce has 20-50 percent more nutrients than conventional fruits and vegetables. Also, Ritual’s bottles are 100 percent biodegradable and the reusable coolers they deliver the juices in are made from 100 percent recyclable materials. Fabulous, right? I’m such a cleanse convert. If I could afford it, I’d do this one every month!
