How to Look Ten Years Younger

1. Stop smoking everything. If you think that nicotine and tar will ruin your lungs but weed won’t you are nuts.

2. Don’t drink coffee, or use caffeine in any form … no chocolate.

3. Don’t drink carbonated beverages.

4. Eat only small amounts of chicken turkey. Eat lots of fish of all kinds except those subject to mercury poisoning (swordfish, some varieties of tuna; check for others). Learn to use tofu in your diet as a meat substitute. Shop often at the fresh produce department of your supermarket, and get serious about learning to cook a large variety of vegetables. Try vegetarian recipes that sound good.

5. No bread. Eat grains by eating whole-grain cereal, and use only skim (fat free) milk.

6. Eliminate fat from your diet. Doing so will create alot less fat on your body, which will mean there that is a lot less of you to move around when you begin #7.

7. Exercise, exercise, exercise. Walk often (try ten minutes of walking three times per day), and buy a good basic body exercise DVD and use it several times per week. Also check on the Internet for free instruction on how to use free weights and incorporate them into exercising your basic muscle groups. Remember using free weights is based on RESISTENCE, which can be one pound with one person and ten pounds with another. Start by using canned goods as weights before purchasing weights.

8. Drink a lot of water that is non-carbonated and is good water. Substitute water for other beverages at meals. When you start drinking more water your body will begin to desire more water.

9. Pretend you have Botox in your face (even if you don’t) and don’t move your facial muscles. Stay as relaxed as possible as you go through your day because getting angry and heavy-duty emoting can be arch enemies of looking good.

I think everyone must tailor a diet to their individual needs and body requirements. I could never give up coffee, but have started to drink more tea. A co-worker stopped drinking soda and lost nearly 10 pounds just by taking it off her list and nothing more. When I eat carbs in the morning, Im hungry all day. My rule is no white flour or sugar and eat as much live food from the earth as I can. Sugar causes headaches and imbalances. People need to be informed and responsible for the temple they inhabit. That what this article is about...information. thanks.

Thank you for reading my article and your comments, but I disagree with what you have said. If you had read the first article that I wrote for Divine Caroline (Info about the Heart) following a heart attack that I experienced 4 years ago at age 64, you might understand how I happened to write those suggestions to follow to look younger. First of all, alive looks better than dead. I have already used them all and my tests and numbers are better than they have ever been. I wouldn't dare say those things without having some knowledge of them. Secondly, my diet is not made up of alot of purchased fat-free foods; instead fresh fruits and vegetables that can be prepared with little fat (EV Olive Oil), and I eat do alot of salmon. My error was to assume people would know that the term "fat" refers to the bad fat on food nutrition labels. Ask your doctor about what chocolate does to women's breasts who have fibrocystic disease. Perhaps you should write less and read more.

I am a beauty and health/wellness writer and I disagree with some of the information here. It is very important to have some fat in your diet. Fat free products are full of junk to make up for the fact that no fat really means no flavor, so you are getting lots of carbs, sodium, etc., in fat free products. Low fat is fine. Fat is key in healthy, young looking skin. Also, there in nothing wrong with a little chocolate. Dark chocolate is especially healthy ~ full of antioxodants which fight off free radicals and help you look younger! So don't make the mistake of giving up chocolate. Whole grain breads are fine in moderation. Whole grain, like fat, helps you feel full and when you feel fuller longer you are less likely to eat unhealthy foods, which will go a long way in helping you maintain your youthful appearance.
It feels good to write.
