All Natural
As much as I love my favorite brands, I get equally as excited when I can find a new, previously undiscovered brand to obsess over (I feel like a pioneer of makeup or something!). Right now, I’m loving a company called Andalou Naturals. It’s all about using organic and natural ingredients, and it’s also devoted to philanthropic sustainability, which you can read more about on its website. (I feel an extra sense of loyalty to companies that give back where they can.)

I tried out two of its products recently—the Lemon Sugar Facial Scrub and the Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask. I found these two the most irresistible based on the fact that I love both those scents. (Especially pumpkin. Why can’t Starbucks have its pumpkin scones year round? I would be a very happy girl if we could make this happen.)
The Lemon Sugar Facial Scrub smells amazing—fruity, with a hint of sweetness in it—and it foams up nicely in your hands before you apply it to your face. Once on, it’s easy to rub in for a gentle exfoliation. It’s not painful or moisture-stripping; it’s just enough to give your skin a nice scrubbing without any harsh aftereffects. I’ve been using it twice a week, and my skin always glows after I use it (probably due to the fruit stem cells, vitamin C, and Manuka honey in it).
The Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask is another winner. It smells delicious, like a fresh pumpkin pie, and after you apply it, it takes only about ten minutes for it to go to work on your skin. It’s best used on normal and combination skin, and the all-natural ingredients help to lift away dull surface cells and give your skin an evener tone and texture. It’s just such a nice treat to put it on, grab a magazine, and relax on my couch while giving it a chance to change my skin for the better.
Andalou Naturals is also great because its products are very reasonably priced. Each jar is 1.7 ounces, which goes especially far for the facial scrub, and both of them are each under $15. The company also has a ton of other products for both face and body, including hair care, and I’m dying to try its Orange & Argan Shampoo. (Doesn’t that just sound like it smells amazing?)
