Birds of a Feather

I never thought I would say this as a thirty-two-year-old woman, but I am addicted to feathers…in my hair.

It all started with a visit to a local blowout salon. I thought it would be fun to have some feathers in my hair, so the stylist let me pick out a few then clamped them on to some strands like you would with an extension. She told me they would last four to six weeks and that I could wash and style my hair as usual. Needless to say, I left the salon feeling trendy and loving it. What I didn’t think about at the time was that I was due for a touchup to my hair color and dying my hair would ruin my feathers. That’s when Sultra’s Natural Feather Hair Accents arrived in my mailbox.

This is the perfect alternative to long-lasting feathers. Since they snap into place in a matter of seconds (and you can literally do this without a mirror if you need to), you can remove them easily if you need some flexibility with your hair, say if you need to dye your hair. Then you can snap them right back into place like a button when you’re done. You can move your feathers from one side to the other, or you can just remove them if you’re not up to it. You can even wash, dry, and style them as you would your own hair. Since you’re reducing the wear and tear on the feathers compared to if you wore them every day, you’re also prolonging the life of the feathers.

Now that I know Sultra’s Natural Feather Hair Accents are so easy to use, I’m really tempted to get some more and really get my bohemian on this summer. It leaves me wondering: are clip-in tinsel accents next? I’m hoping so, sounds like fun!
