Who’s Bad? Do You Prefer Prince or Michael Jackson?
It’s Saturday night, and you’re getting ready for an evening out on the town. There will be drinks, there will be innocent flirting, and, yes, there will be dancing. But first things first—you need music to get you in the right mood. Do you reach for Thriller or Purple Rain? Do you “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,” or would you rather take a one-way trip to “Erotic City”? It’s time for all you PYTs and raspberry-beret wearers out there to take a stand and make your pop-music allegiance known. So who’s it gonna be: Michael Jackson or Prince?

Michael Jackson was a more talented artist, but as a Minnesota girl I'm going to have to go with Prince. His music is good for a goofy night with friends, and it fills us with a bizarre state pride that we can't quite explain. Purple Rain all the way.

I see everybody as having different talents and abilities - thus not choosing one over the other - simple to appreciate and enjoy what each has to offer. They are both very talented!

I totally agree with Vanessa Brunner, and Annie Tucker Morgan. I also find Prince to be sooooo sensual, as well. He just does something to me, when I see him perform...YUM, YUM!! HA HA HA!

Michael Jackson. Without a doubt because I'm not too keen on Prince.
Michael Jackson! Always and FOREVER! If you ever really listen to Michael's music, you will hear sounds in the background that you don't hear in songs by other artists. Michael's uniqueness is pure genius. Whenever I'm on the dance floor and Michael's music is playing, my body reacts much more favorably to his than to Prince. Thanks for the question.
Prince plays a great guitar & has done some great songs, but I think Michael Jackson created some dance moves & played some songs that I'll never forget. It's a hard call, but if I had to pick one over the other, I'd pick Michael Jackson. I'm going strictly on creative & artistic qualities of each artist, not personal lives. No offense to Prince.

For sure Prince, 100%. I love Michael Jackson--but there'll always be something soooo sensual about Prince's songs. To each her own, but Raspberry Beret and Little Red Corvette will always win out in my book!

This is an impossible question. They are(were) both such forces of nature, such impressive specimens. Though I'd rather be friends with Prince, I'm going to vote MJ because watching that man perform was nothing short of hypnotic.

This is such a tough call, but the Purple One wins by a nose, in my book. Pound for pound, he's provided me with the most listening (and dancing) pleasure over the years. No disrespect, though, MJ ... RIP.
