The Twelve Hottest Celebrity Daddies

Handsome’s great, but nothing makes us swoon harder than a guy who knows his way around a playground and can handle a diaper bag. These gorgeous dads make parenthood look SO good.

1. Gavin Rossdale
Known for: Front man for the alternative rock group Bush.

Baby details:
Son Zuma Nesta Rock was born on August 21, joining son Kingston, two.

Baby’s mama:
Rocker/fashionista wife Gwen Stefani

Why we’re crushing on him:
Having grown up in a chaotic home (his parents were divorced when he was eleven and his mom moved away), this dad has said he wants to do better for Kingston. Most recently, Rossdale put recording his solo album, as well as his budding film career, on hold so that he could hit the road with Kingston on Stefani’s Sweet Escape tour. That’s our kind of groupie.

2. Ben Affleck
Known for: Breaking into the industry with BFF (and fellow hottie dad) Matt Damon after co-writing and co-starring in Good Will Hunting.

Baby details:
Daughter Violet Anne was born in 2005, followed by Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, born on January 6, 2009.

Baby’s mama:
Actress Jennifer Garner, of Alias fame

Why we’re crushing on him:
The paparazzi always catch Garner and Affleck taking Violet to the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market, just like regular (albeit stunningly gorgeous) people. This career guy has turned his focus away from signing on for role after role to just being there for his family. He’s been recently quoted as saying: “I hope my career is what I want it to be, but that’s not as important to me as being a father.” Aww. Want gorgeous celeb-mom style like Jennifer Garner? 3. Usher
Known for: His catchy R&B-pop hits, such as “Yeah!,” “My Boo,” and “Confessions,” which have earned him five Grammy awards.

Baby details:
Usher has two sons. Naveid Ely Raymond was born December 10, 2008, joining big brother Usher Raymond V, who was born November 26, 2007. Usher also has three stepsons.

Baby’s mama:
Wife and stylist Tameka Foster-Raymond. The couple married on August 3, 2007. In February, Foster-Raymond suffered cardiac arrest during a cosmetic surgery procedure in Brazil, and Usher rushed to her side.

Why we’re crushing on him:
The adorable crooner is not afraid to get political, even speaking at U.S. House Education and Labor Committee hearings (along with Usher’s New Look foundation participant, James Harris) to promote service and volunteerism. Usher’s generous efforts have earned him the 2009 Emerging Philanthropist Award, which he’ll receive at the 18th Annual Nonprofit Summit in Atlanta. New Look, a nonprofit charity organization, mentors disadvantaged youths in America.

4. Josh Holloway
Known for: His devious, yet flirty, role as James “Sawyer” Ford on the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning ABC series Lost

Baby details:
The couple’s first child is on the way, according to an announcement on December 8, 2008.

Baby’s mama:
Wife Yessica Kumala, who is from Jakarta, Indonesia. The couple wed on October 1, 2004, and originally planned not to have kids, but changed their minds. “Basically, nature happened,” Holloway told USA Today. “If you’re in a loving relationship with someone, [having] children becomes a part of it. I don’t know exactly when or how, but we’re very open to either having our own children or adopting.”

Why we’re crushing on him:
The thirty-nine-year-old actor who plays a rugged castaway is a true outdoorsman at heart—he spends his free time camping, fishing, sailing, and snowboarding. We appreciate a guy who can handle himself both on-screen and on the slopes. There’s no doubt Holloway will step into his daddy role just as naturally. Prefer reality to celebrity? 5. Jack Black
Known for: Most recently, playing a bumbling and lovable panda bear, Po, in the 2008 hit movie Kung Fu Panda

Baby details:
Two boys, Samuel “Sammy” Jason was born June 10, 2006, and little brother Thomas David joined the family on May 23, 2008.

Baby’s mama:
Wife Tanya Haden, daughter of the famous jazz double-bassist Charlie Haden. Despite attending private high school together, Haden and Black didn’t meet until fifteen years after graduation. The duo married March 14, 2006.

Why we’re crushing on him:
A sense of humor is always hot! Black is a member of Hollywood’s “Frat Pack”—the group of modern-day funnymen includes comedy actors Steve Carell, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson, and Owen Wilson. Black also tears it up as the lead singer in Tenacious D, a popular rock-comedy band.

From Around the Web:
I'm surprised that Brad Pitt didn't make this list, considering he has, oh, SIX KIDS. But I still like the line-up.

I personally think it would be pretty badass to have Jason Bourne as my dad.
I agree with Harriet. Jack Black seems like the coolest Dad ever.
I'm not really into celebri-babies, but Violet Affleck is just about the most adorable thing I've ever seen.
