Pudding in Her Prada

You saw it, you laughed at it, you loved it, and we’re all blogging about it.

The movie Sex and the City was the number one movie last week. If you are anything like me, you devoted parts of your blogs to the countdown (reviews of the episodes, linking to the official websites, etc.), and got into the mood with Ladies Night, where you and your best gals slipped into your heels and raised your martinis.

Doesn’t matter which character you feel fits you best—you are a member of the SATC Movement. No other TV show in the history (not counting Star Trek or Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has impacted the way we look at ourselves and helped to define a genre as much as SATC did this past ten years. A movement that has been funny, informative, emotional, and fashionable.

For the first time, women of a certain age have been allowed to be themselves and still feel worthy. The book and the show have helped to redefine the term “chick lit,” showing that it’s more then alright to be a woman in this media-soaked world—it’s fabulous.
