What do you do when you really don’t like his friends (mainly the girls) and you know they don’t like you in return? Also, how do you deal with the fact that your bf is still good friends with his ex’s siblings?
I’ve been trying really hard to make it work but I really don’t think I can handle it anymore. They’re not the most welcoming people in the world. When we do go over to his friend’s place to hang out, there’s no, “Hi! How are you doing?” or any form of small talk. It’s just uncomfortable and I’ve brought this up to the bf on many occasions. At first, he thought I was the one not trying hard enough but soon enough after an incident, he finally realized that it was them. His excuse is, “that’s just how they are.” Okay, so if I was a straight up *itch, I can just say that that’s just who I am and there’s nothing wrong with that. I don’t think so. He would totally have a hissy fit and give me crap for it. I get the feeling that they think I’m out to take my bf away from them. Honestly, if I wanted to do that, I would’ve done it a while ago when we first got back together but I know how important his friends are to him so I would never make him choose, unless I couldn’t take it anymore... then I would light up my b*tch candle and give him an ultimatum. But for now, I’m unfazed by their constant snickering, whispering, giggles, and inappropriate glances. Just because they’re his friends doesn’t mean that I need them to be my friends. I’ve tried the whole “getting to know them” thing BUT seeing that they haven’t tried with me, I just don’t really give a flying fudge anymore.
So now the question is, do I stay and put up with it or do I leave because sometimes I feel he values his friends more than me?
