Believe

Children are the future of our world and in order to make a better world they need to be able to think and have an imagination to grow up and be “super” adults. Imagination is the beginning of improved and new ideas and products. Without this imagination we would not have computers, television, machines for industry, machines for war, airplanes, or most of the things that make our life so easy.

If we want to keep imagination alive, children need to believe in things they cannot always see or touch. They need to believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, magic shows, fairies, Peter Pan, and many many more things.

The various religions have beliefs and without imagination, some of the beliefs would have less value for people.

Today’s commercialization of the holidays is ruining the imagination of our children and some adults. Television, movies, and games teach that these imaginary things are not real. There are, however, some movies that emphasize the imagination such as E.T., The Polar Express, Harry Potter, the Walt Disney movies, etc.

We all need to believe in something, otherwise life would really be dull.

Political correctness is fine for some things, but when we start doing away with our Holidays by renaming them to try to make everyone happy, we are in trouble. You are not making everyone happy, instead you are making the majority extremely angry.

Parents and grandparents and teachers need to remember what it was like when they were a child. They need to remember the excitement of getting up early in the morning to see what was left for them. The love they felt.

Lets all teach the children to believe and stretch their imaginations.
