Although I completely disagree with this list, what's really a shame is that more owners don't take the time to properly train and socialize their dogs. I have no problem interacting with dogs in public as long as they're well-behaved, which sadly, many aren't.
Whew! I was reading through this list and all I could think was, "Where's San Francisco, where's San Francisco?" Then I realized it was in ascending order, and voilà – my city is #1! (And for good reason.)
I thought that San Francisco was really dog friendly ... until I started looking for a new apartment. I mean, yeah, I can take Lola anywhere with me, but landlords aren't eager to let you have dogs living in their apartments. But I ended up finding an awesome apartment with a landlord that loves my dog, so it's not all bad.
I was surprised after moving to SF to see just how many dogs live in this city, considering most people live in apartments or shared spaces. But it really is a dog-friendly city.
Thanks for the link as well. My dog always travels with me.
