Dearest Hubby,
Today is Tuesday! Hi! Hello! How’s the cake?
I’m writing this letter ahead of years of finally saying “I do” this morning with you. Yes, I married you. We just married this morning and you’re reading this letter I made some years back as imagining life being with you.
Even though I haven’t met you, I believe God granted my prayers. The time you’re reading this, I was in my hundred days challenge with the guy named Michael Patterson from Iowa, USA. He changed the start of a hundred days; instead of April 11, he moved to May 16, the day he received my letter and card on his birthday.
I’m finished with my own hundred days decision making with him and the turn out of that decision prompted me to write this love letter to you. I wanted you to know at this moment of time, if you’re doing the same thing of finding me over and over again, that I’m hoping that you’re doing a great life of yours. I didn’t know where we meet, how we meet . . . it might be in one of our Singles for Christ training, conferences, fellowship, or just in sharing with lots of brothers that I meet serving them. I didn’t know if you’re one of those financially-minded people I meet at IMG Wealth Academy, or whom I meet in IMG Convention locally and internationally, or even had a one-on-one personal financial check-up, or even just being a business partner with me. I didn’t know if we meet in one of my jogging or running activities in Quezon City Circle or even I participated in some metro run-for-a-cause event. I didn’t know if we meet in the Feast of Bro. Bo Sanchez in his Kerygma Conference; those people were amazing!
I didn’t know either if I subscribed to online dating of CatholicMatch.com or that you meet me personally in Philippines. Or I didn’t know if you’re one of those former classmates in elementary, high school, college, even colleagues of mine that we just blinded by the so-called friendships thing. I didn’t know if you’re still the same person that I took with the hundred days challenge, I didn’t know if you’re still the same person I’ve been with for the past years, enjoying the friendship and fun with your awesome company. But if you’re not one of those, God must be great cause He gives me second, third, fourth, and so-on chances in life in finally being with you today. (But I hope you’re one of those.)
Today, we started a new life again. It’s great to be alive, holding you, looking up to you (yeah, I know you’re tall more than me! hahahah!) into your eyes. I feel safe being with you; it’s feel like being home with you finally. With you, we’re a team.
God made me wait for you. In God’s perfect time, He brings us together. So here we are today. I simply adore you ever since I claimed you in my prayers. I pray that God continue to bless us exceedingly and abundantly. May He provide and guide us always our hearts desire.
Love lots,
Mary Olivar
