I love my husband Alex with my whole heart. He’s a wonderful person. If Alex were a woman, I’d go lesbian for him. He’s the best, most moral, and kind person I have ever known. He is very hardworking and very successful in his career. His co-workers like him. I don’t see how anyone in their right mind wouldn’t like Alex. He’s smart and funny and good looking too.
Alex is in Germany for work until the end of the month. He’s been gone almost three weeks now. Today is the first day off he’s had since arriving in Germany. He’s been working between twelve and sixteen hours a day for all that time. I know he must be tired. Poor baby!
Poor baby, my ass! Alex and his friends are off today. They are taking a day-jaunt over to Paris.
Let’s back up a minute. Alex knows Paris is my city! It’s where I would live if I had it all to do over again. He and I have been to Paris three times and Alex knows how I feel about Paris! How dare he go to Paris with a bunch of geeky engineers? How dare he make me feel evil for being unreasonable?
I had tried to suggest that he might like going to the Swiss Alps. Alex could have considered Bulgaria or Romania or something! Hell, he could have gone to Rome! Why did he have to go to Paris? It’s really a bad thing when you are angry and you know you have no real reason to be. If I had a real reason, I could feel good and justified in my anger. As it is, I just feel pissed off and selfish and stupid too. And it’s all his fault!
He’d better bring me home something good.
