Sex or the Internet: What if You Had to Choose?

What if you had to choose between two elements that are part of your life? According to a survey released by Intel Corporation, around half of women eighteen and older would rather go without sex for two weeks than without access to the Internet. Are they crazy or right on? Which would you miss most? Give us the scoop!

Definitely the sex - who could live without the internet for two weeks?

Hands down, I would give up SEX! My husband and I have had a marriage long disagreement as to what an adequate amount of sex would be, and it is a battle he continues to win for 17 years now! I read an article the other day that said the average couple has sex approximately 59 times a year, which averaged out to a little more than once a week. Let me be the first to proclaim, we are seriously below average. I often tell my husband he would not make it as a cave man, indian or Catholic because the rhythm method SICKS HIM OUT! Not that we would have a bunch of children running around anyway since we average about 7 times a YEAR! So, since I spend more of my time online, it is a more lasting experience and is much more regular, I would definitely say I would give up SEX. Of course, the question isn't really fair for me to answer since I am nearly a NUN anyway......

Time with my partner always takes precedence to the internet. We are both very busy and cherish the intimate time we share. The internet is a marvelous invention that keeps us in touch with the world, but if the internet vanished tomorrow, I would simply return to the old way of communicating and I believe that required person to person contact! Give me sex any hour, any day, any time!

I am widowed & 62 years old... I only have sex with my toys... Does that count as sex???? So of course I choose the internet. Also another question??? Does sexual talk on the internet count???
Since the age of 16, I have always had a man and sex in my life....and all the highs and lows that go with it. . Sadly (she says in hindsight), I was one of those unfortunates who love "bad boys", the ones that you all know about, the ones your mother warned you about..(except my mother died tragically from cancer when she was only 37, but I'm sure she would have warned me, if she'd been around)..and the ones you hope your daughter will stay away from.
I always believed that I. and only I, could be the one woman who could "tame" them, make them happy and want to be in a close monogamous relationship. What arrogance(she says again in hindsight!) on my part and I have the scars to show it. Now, at the wise and wonderful age of 52, I am living a single life for the first time in 36 years!!
The Internet doesn't: leave the toilet seat up; snarl back; start arguments and criticise me endlessly for being ME! Etc...Sex,schmex..I love my new "unfettered by men" life. Long live the Internet!

For two weeks, I would gladly give up sex, and thus choose the internet. The internet is a fantastic way to find out new information including sexual information that could heighten my performance and knowledge post the two weeks. While sex can usually includes another person (is solo sex part of sex in this case) the internet is something that I can have access to alone and without distraction or tension.

I think I would have to take advatage and take time off sex to use the Internet. I figure if I can use some of my surfing time to look up ideas for newer, fresher, sex it would be well worth the break.

I know my husband would be disappointed to hear this because he isn't really "into" the internet but I would give up sex. I have to have my internet. My business is online and I am addicted to twitter.
