Aphrodisiacs are meant to help us “get in the mood”, for some kick-ass love making. While most aphrodisiacs taste really good such as dark chocolate, oysters and such, there are some other aphrodisiacs that don't make any sense, and are actually really gross. I cant picture any man or women trying something like this to get horny:
Ambergris
Comes from the digestive system of a sperm whale—wtf? The only reason I can think on why it qualifies as an aphrodisiac is because its called a “sperm” whale, but it still doesn't make enough sense to eat it.
Atta Laevigata
is a bug that was used from Colombia to south Paraguay as an aphrodisiac; it was even given as a wedding gift by some cultures there.
Lettuce
From now on, don't skip the greens! and start asking for extra lettuce on every food item you eat. Its cheap, not nasty (better then all the other options) and can be found every where. In fact, before you go to bed tonight, feed your lover some lettuce.
Spanish fly
Okay, again what the hell is wrong with people? How do bugs have any thing to do with getting us in the mood for sex? How could eating a bug make you feel sexy?
Balut Egg
This needs to be banned as a food product period, its gross and very cruel. Embryos of fertilized chicks, ducks, or whatever, just think: embryo—almost fully developed too—and people eat it alive! It’s considered a big national snack in countries such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
