Dr. Laura Schlessinger Really Needs to Get Laid

Dr. Laura has, once again, done a fantastic job of “shock marketing” herself. Just recently, she is under scrutiny (i.e. free publicity) for her double standard remarks.

In Dr. Laura’s response to a question about her double standards for men that engage in casual sex and women that do. The writer is apparently trying to say that both people should be held accountable for treating sex without respect, saying that it “encourages men to attempt to use women sexually as their birthright.”

Here are her remarks:

“First of all, God and nature are responsible for the reality of a double standard. Women have breasts from which to suckle the baby born from their uterus after a nine month gestation. Women’s high-pitched voices and hearing are geared for the infant-mother bonding that miraculously takes place right after birth. Women’s temperaments to nurture, cuddle, coo, and protect are hardwired into their psychological programming.”

Uhhh, also, “God” gave women the ability to have multiple orgasms (at least a few of us), nipples by which we can get aroused, clitori and, some of us at least, temperaments other than ones that “nuture, cuddle, coo, and protect.”

It gets worse ...

“There is no question that men more easily dissociate love and sex. Young males in particular are open to sexual experiences for the challenge, orgasmic satisfaction, and status among other males. These qualities are not synonymous with femininity.”

She’s not finished yet ...

“Women give themselves sexually to men out of love, a desperate desire to be wanted and loved, or for money.”

And now she becomes a sexuality-shamer ...

“The only women who look for the sexual challenge are those so twisted with anti-male rage that domination of a male is a form of psychological rape which satisfies that neurotic anger.”

So, I’m not really going to write too much of a commentary on this topic.

In listening to her comments, I now feel like a breast feeding, sex toy whose only purpose is to please men (because it’s their God given right). Wow ... I think that Dr. Laura really needs top get laid!

Dr Laura is not a woman.. Like Lady MacBeth, the "milk of human kindness" does not flow from her... or her breasts.

Um, Wow. I really have a problem with Dr. Laura's comments as well. I really don't like name-calling and I don't like the idea that men have an excuse for casual sex and women don't. Talk about a double standard. I would think that too much casual sex could be dehumanizing to either sex. I'm a woman who never had children and I don't consider myself a baby machine or a failed baby machine. Both sexes have brains and I would hope that would count for more than sexual equipment.
