Big Hands. Big Feet. Big Penis?

Can you tell the size of a man’s penis by looking at his hands or feet, or by how tall he is? Urban legend asserts that you can. It’s not uncommon to hear a woman speculate about a man’s member after sizing up his broad shoulders or scoffing at his dainty hands. Just the other day, I caught myself drifting into wonderland after catching sight of some of the largest, thickest man hands I have ever seen. I wasn’t even attracted to the owner of said hands, but I couldn’t get my mind out of the gutter. Damn, I thought, his penis must be huge.

But what evidence is there for correlating a man’s twigs and berries with the size of his extremities, or his height, or even his race?

The answer is not as clear as you might think. In a 2002 study conducted at the University College London, researchers wanted to know if a man’s shoe size correlated with the length of his unit. Measuring 104 men’s feet was easy; measuring their penises was not. That’s because there is no perfect way to measure a man’s penis. Should length be measured when it’s flaccid, stretched, or erect? Most men would probably want their penises to be measured when they’re erect—putting the best foot forward as it were—but not all erections are created equal. Some are really big and hard, and some are just big and hard.

In this study, and in many others that measure penis length, the researchers stretched the penis with a defined amount of force to determine how long it can get. This gives a pretty good indication of how long the penis would be when fully erect. (You can also inject a hormone into the penis to make it fully erect, but the idea of a needle near a penis makes for very few volunteers.)

The result of this study, to the relief of all size seven shoe-wearing males, was that “there is no scientific support for the relationship” between the size of shoe and length of penis.

Another study, which looked at body height in addition to foot length, had similar results. Researchers at University of Alberta measured the height, shoe size, and stretched penile length of sixty-three healthy men. They found that body height and foot length were only weakly correlated with the size of their penis and that “height and foot size would not serve as practical estimators of penis length.” Big feet mean that, ho-hum, he’ll wear big shoes. However, the issue of height is not so clearly resolved.

Although the above study did not find a correlation between height and penis size, my own anecdotal evidence in this category has proven otherwise. The biggest penis I’ve ever seen was attached to the biggest and tallest man I’ve ever slept with. The smallest penis? You guessed it, a petite man only a few inches taller than my 5'4". But a handful of men does not make a truth. So, digging deeper, I found a 2001 Italian study, conducted among 3,300 young men which found that penis dimensions (length and girth) were significantly correlated with weight and height. Another large study, published in the International Journal of Impotence Research in 2007, found a correlation between height and penis dimensions in 1,500 men. Although I’ve definitely seen some statistical outliers—tall men with small penises, short guys with big ones—the averages seem to show that males, parts to a whole, are proportionately scaled. But what about hands?

Real sexual pleasure first has to come from love, respect, and emotional intimacy. If men are good men they should brag about how good they treat women, rather than how their penis treats women. If love, respect, and emotional intimacy is what a woman wants then she should look at a man's heart and character not his height, hands, feet, or penis.

What I find fascinating about this is that guys with "big" penises always brag about it - as if that's their biggest achievement in life. What they don't take into consideration is the number of women who actively complain that their partner has a "big" penis because they find it uncomfortable. Every penny don't fit the slot as the song says. I've had women say to me though, mmm, you've got small hands, you know what that means. I just smile... because the fact of the matter is that whilst I won't win awards for getting a dozen ring donuts on mine, experience has shown that I reach all the right places and still have to be careful not to go in too deep for fear of hurting my partner. I'd rather be a great lover than have a 10" dick any day.

Found this article interesting. I've always been a taller than average guy standing in at roughly 6'5, through genetics I also inherited a large bone structure, broad shoulders, and on. Basically I have the build of a football player (and yeah I used to play). It is because of this it makes it so obvious that for a man my size I have smaller hands and I wear only a size 10-10.5 shoes. People have actually told me that my hands are even rather feminine looking asking if I get manicures (I don't). Used to be really insecure about that but I have to say as far my measurements down below I'm not going to brag or show off but I've had several of the women I hooked up with even complain that it is too large. My current gf even says I'm the biggest she ever had. So i find it ridiculous that that ppl try associate such trivial things with the size of your louisville slugger. I'm living proof that that this correlation doesn't exist.

hi there. just wanted to say that this article is ridiculous, as penis size is genetically based and not based on any other factors, even if an apparent correlation is perceived to exist. i will be 19 in less than one month, wear size 11.5 shoes (wore a size 9-10 when i was 13, roughly around the time puberty started), have hands that are eight+ inches long from wrist-palm connection to the tip of my middle finger and roughly 4.5 inches from wrist-palm to fingers (in other words, the height of my palm). my penis is 8" or longer and around 6" in girth; however, i am merely 5'10" and weigh only around 140 lbs. tl;dr, there is no relationship between height, weight, shoe/hand size, or etc. and penis size. it is genetically based.

Hands, fingers, feet, nose, eyes, ears....head and shoulders, knees and toes; knees and toes. Oh, c'mon. We all know what happens when we assume (make an ASS out of U and ME). There is NO sure-fire proof to 'size-up' us men. AND if a guy says there is he is lying. What? Guys lie?! Yeah, unfortunately, all us men do when threatened OR jealous. The only correlation to a man's erection size is GENETICS. I'm a man with small hands and feet. I'm living proof that this myth/lie is NOT true. Some ladies have figured this out while the other girls get left behind. I chalk it up to their loss and move along. I know women wish there was a way to 'determine' a guys dick size, but I believe it is Mother Nature's way of saying that it is not just the outside that matters, but who the person is on the inside. Good night and good luck, ladies. :-)
