Passion in Hand

Have you ever found yourself in a relationship where you like a lazy Sunday spent in bed exploring all the facets your new lover has to offer when he is fixated on one sport to the exclusion of the rest of the field? A difference in style is not the end of the world; you can always take turns. Trade offs can be negotiated and might even be fun. But how would you like to know their passion style just by looking at their hands before you get started?

Your hands have muscle and flesh wrapped around the base of your thumb called the Mount of Venus—so appropriately named! I am talking about the pad that starts where the wrist ends and the thumb begins. This base informs you of a lover’s style when you know what to look for. The simplest way to compare is to eyeball how fleshy your thumb base is to his. Keep in mind that women’s bodies tend to be less muscled than men’s by about a third, so he will almost always have a little more flesh padding the base of his thumb.

Look to see if you can view the bottom thumb bone when their palm is face up. If you see more bone than flesh, a man’s desire is driven by his mind. It doesn’t mean he isn’t physical, but for him desire begins in the mind. He is less likely to get lost in a hedonistic romp until he has studied it as a technique. Don’t get me wrong, he is no less passionate than a fleshy thumb base; his expression tends to be mental first and physical second. The man with more bone than flesh usually appreciates you telling him what you like—then he can translate that into action. Thought first, body second is the rule with a flatter, leaner Mount of Venus. Watch out when they decide to drive you mad with desire—they are easily capable of studying you and then reducing you to ashes after a delightful fire. He is also slow to anger but can be impressively furious when pushed too far.

On the flip side, they can be real outdoors men with little regard for physical discomfort. They don’t pay close attention to what their body is telling them; their minds almost always speak first and louder. The flatter base Venus benefits from being more connected to the flesh. Surely you can think of some good ways to help remind him what all those nerve endings are for ...

A fleshy base reverses that order and is aroused more easily by body first and mind second. These men are the ones who wrote that “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Good food, touchable clothes or skin, and certain music all act as stronger stimulus with the high Mount of Venus. These men can linger over whatever they are involved with their eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands ... You get the picture. They delight in the pleasures of the senses and can learn every inch of your skin by touch, just to commit it to memory. There passions tend to sit on the surface with a shorter fuse before the explosion. People with a fleshy base to their thumb need to remember to make love not war, because it can go in to temper or passion with equal ease.

These men benefit from stronger impulse control. They often know how to do it—it just feels so good when they indulge in that extra helping of good food, find that new car with the luxury interior, or eye that beauty walking down the street when they are sitting across from you. Don’t take it too personally; just remember their senses speak first and loudly, so use their language to help reinforce the payoff of delayed gratification!
