Confession of Don Juan: Undressing a Life Lesson

Do you want to be loved or made love to?

Love, love, love… I’m thinking there is no better place to start than with myself. I once thought I could make love to a woman without being in love with her. Except later I learned it was not love I was actually making, but more or less, having sex. Now. For the sake of being cordial I’m aware of some the responses that women say-Yeah, it was something special. It felt wonderful. I must agree. At times it did feel that way. It even felt spiritual, so I thought.

But then there are times when it became life altering. I truly never knew what it felt like to make love to a woman until I actually fell in love with her. And she with me. The once holding, and touching, and caressing that led to kissing, were just mere forms of stimulants that was once considered necessary to incite the flesh. Basically to get from one point to the other.

Silly of me to think in such a naïve way. I now understand it’s the meaning behind feelings expressed within that transcend the essence of ones emotions unto the surface. As women, being God’s most prized design in the procreating of mankind. Though nevertheless, most beautiful of all creations, you have more of a connecting sense of coherence between the outer-self and your feelings within which flows through.

The idea of a man undervaluing your worth should be enough to cause discord among you. Oh…and yes, the holding, and touching, and caressing that lead to kissing, does work quite well. And yes, I know. Sometimes it is merely enough in itself. I guess one could view that as a validating aspect of affection, I suppose. Nevertheless, an earnest expression of what the heart holds.

For a man to make love to a woman when love is paramount, it is a beautiful thing. To feel every minute touch as your body respond with relentless pleasure, is to capture the essential beauty of the soul, and give it an outlet through expressions of a thoughtful heart.

Though to spiritually make love to a woman, is for a man to momentarily extend himself beyond the physical aspect of intimacy, and indulge his imagination to a point where his every movement, and her every thought, are as one.

And though without failing to say, when love escapes the heart, the thought of making love goes without genuine, sincere intentions. This is what often validates the idea that lovemaking doesn’t begin in the bedroom, but in the mind.

This was beautiful...it brought me back to some fine memories. Thanks for sharing and for acknowledging that women are "God’s most prized design in the procreating of mankind"...I think I'd have to agree.
It feels good to write.
