Day 3: January 5, 2010
The news said it’s going to be chilly outside like the previous days. Looking from the inside where I stay, it’s all but sunny weather. Looks can be deceiving . I have to step out of my glass and test the water. I woke up so late today. It’s noon time already when I was awaken by the sound of the television. Molly, my girl, never fails to rise and shine before me. I credited it to her youth. I’m on the fifth and last day of my vacation.
I usually updates my journal at the end of the day. Today is different. I feel inspired for some reason. Maybe I’m just panicking ‘cause tomorrow I’m going back to work. I don’t know. I know that I need to go outside and finish some chores. Breathe more fresh air. Enjoy simple, unhurried day.
I want to update my family, too, about how Molly and I are doing lately. When I say family, I mean the extended ones too. Reconnecting is my theme of the week, I might as well include everybody. Friends you choose, families were gifted to you. No matter what happens, good or bad, they will be attached to your history. Blood is life and families are connected to you through blood.
Some laugh will be good, too. One cannot be serious all the time. It’s hard on the soul. So, today, there’s a 60 percent chance that I will see “Sherlock Holmes.” Words of the mouth had me interested. Let’s see if Holmes can lighten my mood further. I got to be light to travel fast in finding myself.
Did I mention I’m meaning to upgrade the time of my routine exercise? Well, I will. I will test the theory of fit body is equal to joyful mood. I’m on fifteen minutes of cardio four times a week. I will make it a goal of thirty minutes and more. Today is the start of that thirty minutes aim.
That’s for Day 4. Joy, lightness, laughter. All by myself. Or not, I have Molly to share it with.
