First I would like to say congrats to all the new mothers! Well now a little about myself: my name is Jessica and I am twenty-one years old. I am the mother of a beautiful and handful two year old boy. At the moment I am actually expecting for the second time! I wasn’t really planning to become pregnant again but because my companion and I weren’t careful AGAIN, I am pregnant again.
Basically the reason for my story is because I would like all the single mothers out there to know that it is not the end. With my first pregnancy my son’s father bailed out on me and it so happens that this time he ended up doing just that again. I forgave him the first time and got over it, I do forgive him again but this time I won’t forget and just get over it. A child is a serious matter not just something you can run from and come to when ever you feel like. Unfortunately my children’s father is one of those parents. I must admit that I would really love for him to be there throughout my pregnancy but if not I won’t let that put me down. I got through it the first time and I KNOW that I can do it again.
Even though I am only twenty-one, I am very proud of myself. After having my son I got a job not doing exactly what I went to school for but I do enjoy my job and it has helped me accomplish a lot. I have a job, my own place and every thing that I have, I have done it on my own. Since my son was born I have worked hard to make ends meet and provide for him and even though at times I have felt like giving up at the end of the day things always end up alright. So for all the single mothers don’t worry, keep your head up high because everything will be alright!
