I tuck my daughter in on the recliner and put on some of our favorite movies. I make her some good old chicken soup.

I don't have any kids but when I was a kid, I would have a bell to ring and if I needed anything, my mom would be right by my side. She would also bring me lots of juice and make me chicken noodle soup.

Love, Love, and a good movie
When my kids are sick, they love it when I check in on them during the night. Tissues, toast ,water or medication arrive if needed. Of course they get lots of attention during the day but at night they feel alone. I give them a bell that they can ring if they need me. Not one of them has ever rung the bell but they make sure that it is within reach. I think that they want to know that you are there for them if and when they might need you.
I have a blanket that I sleep with every night. In fact I have slept with it for about 20 years now.

When my kids are sick I put them on the couch with ginger ale (something about that is always comforting), the remote, a DO NOT distrub sign from the other kids, carte blanche on TV channels, Vicks on the chest and feet (with socks), and my blanket. (We call it woobage.) No matter if it is my teens or my little girls, they all seem to love it. Something comforting about having that blanket around them.

I remember so well that when I was a child my dad would rub our chests and backs with Vicks, put some around the nose, and rub some on the indention in your neck just below the adams apple. We were snapped into our footie jammies which kept us snug and warm. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!
