Lots of pampering, staying with them to read a story or just cuddle. Chicken noodle soup is usually what they want to eat and Sprite or 7UP if their tummy is upset.

When my little ones feel badly, they definitely get more attention and pampering than usual...whatever is most comforting at the time is what's done.

I make them feel comfy and put something on TV they love and feed them their favorite foods. I am there for them.

I take complete care of my little man. Whatever he wants (within reason) he gets. :D

I fix my son ANYTHING he asks for for dinner, we watch a movie and play a game together, snuggling under my oversized quilt. He sometimes stretches out his "being sick" a little longer because he is enjoying it so much...lol.

For colds we have a Vicks humidifier that we use with cough suppresant liquid on top. I also rub the bottom of his feet and chest with Vicks. If its a flu, then I usually also sleep in his room to just keep a closer eye on him. Just having mom close can make things better.

For high fevers, I alternate tylenol and motrin. For nausea and diarrhea, I follow the famous BRAT diet with gingerale. For congestion, We use Vicks of course. My mother always used it as did my grandparents. Nothing is more comforting that the smell of vicks.
