i get the heating pad i bought for myself when i was pregnant, and put little Christopher on his stomach on the hot pad and then rock him in the rocking chair until he goes to sleep.

I tuck Maya into our bed with lots of pillows and blankets. I turn on a very soft cozy light. I have a special album that I played when she was a baby, of lullabies. I talk to her and rub her back.

Thank you Vicks for this great contest. My husband loves your products!

When they have a cough I let them have a little honey right on the tongue and I also make lots of camomile tea with honey

When our son was young, there was only one thing that worked. Humidifier, Vicks, and a lot of rocking chair time. Nothing beats hug and rocking time when you don't feel good and the combination of humidity (in the semi-desert we live in) and some Vicks would let him sleep.

Chicken Noodle soup, orange juice and sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed until the kiddos feel better. Add extra hugs and kisses and mix well.

I grew up with Vicks always being the savior to us when we were sick as kids. So when my son feels sick of course I get my vicks. Always keep it in the medicine cabinet. I give my son plenty of fluids. He loves Gatorade instead of Pedialite. I love that Vicks now has something called VIcks Casero. My mom use to give us this for sore throats. I give it to my son for his throat. I bath him. Then I give rub his body with vicks. I wrap in a warm blanket. If his throat is hurting then i give him Vicks Casero. I also make him chicken and stars soup. We hangout in bed watching his favorite cartoons.

I keep individual portions of homemade chicken stock frozen for quick comfort for my children. We raise and butcher our own chickens, so I know they are getting a healthy boost. I cook the chicken for several hours with carrots, celery, vinegar (to bring the nutrients out of the chicken bones and into the broth) and onion. Then I strain and freeze! There is nothing like a steaming mug of homemade chicken broth for a sick child.
I just love on my kids alot and try to make them as comfortable as possible! Books, music, maybe a little TV time and some good old fashioned chicken soup does the trick as well now as when I was a child.

Fever and colds are a regular thing it seems like during the school year. Something I have done for since my first born, was place Vicks on their feet & socks over when they have fever. It ALWAYS works. And of course, because a momma's love heals all, I make sure I do nothing but cater to my sick. Full of cuddles, tissue, and cartoons.
