What’s Your Favorite Summertime Sweet Treat?

My favorite Summertime Sweet Treat is jello cake. There are many different flavors you can play with.
I mostly make it every summer for July4th celebration. I start with baking a vanilla cake. While it is baking, I start making strawberry jello liquid and blueberry jello liquid. Set aside. When the cake is done, use a fork to poke holes in the cake and form rows. I then pour alternating colors of the red and blue until it is gone. I slide it into the fridge to cool for an hour or so. Or make the night before the event. Okay, so now is the fun part..take out of the fridge and add thawed cool whip to the top of the cake. Then I take fresh sliced strawberries and form a square to represent part of the American Flag. Then take the blueberries and finish up your design and flag. This is such a wonderful and refreshing sweet treat that is very light and tasty. Slice it up and enjoy~

I have three favorite summertime treats. They are: Edy's Strawberry Fruit Bars, Kool-Aid and sweeeet lemonade!

Nothing says summer to me like like a fresh peach or strawberry shortcake made with golden butter cake & real vanilla bean ice cream. If that's not available, any soft serve frozen yogurt tastes good to me, garnished with chopped up peanut butter cups.

My favorite summertime treat is non-fat, low sugar frozen yogurt dessert: vanilla with caramel streaks and small bits of macadamia nuts. Another favorite is a homemade topping of non-fat vanilla flavored yogurt with a homemade cranberry puree and Splenda (artificial sugar), on a crunchy piece of toast.

A good old fashioned banana split!

Fresh fruit is the best in the Summertime.

Popsicles, lemonade, and ice cream were all staples at the Brown house.. but my grandmother's homemade crock pickles brining away layered between handfulls of green grapes ,garlic and dill, were by far my favorite summer treat. Even today, a whiff of that dill aroma brings back sweet summertime memories of Velma Luene Brown.

Frozen yogurt! In my frozen yogurt cup, I have a sampling of all the flavors they have on hand & sprinkle it with peanut butter cups.
