Ten of the World’s Strangest Fruits

Bored of bananas? Apples giving you apathy? Over oranges? If you’re trying to expand your fruit horizons, traveling the world, or just searching for a cool-looking edible centerpiece, look for one of these funky fruits in your local grocery store (though you might have a hard time finding them in America).

Pitaya (Dragon Fruit)

Known for its unusual color and laxative properties, the dragon fruit grows in Central and South America, as well as some countries in Southeast Asia. Dragon fruits have a bright pink skin and sweet, creamy white flesh full of small black seeds.

Not informative enough. Good information on the flavor, good pictures... no idea on whether they are available in my area etc.

I have heard (and tried) most of these fruits but the one that intrigued me the most is the Kiwano although it sounds absolutely delicious.

Eva, very informative. I thought I knew so much, thanks for proven me wrong. I was amazed and pleased to see these fruits. I buzzed it up, it would be good for others to discover these strange looking fruits.
It feels good to write.
