Nine Dollars Off

On return to Seattle from a weekend in Vancouver, we stopped at the border and stocked up on a few spirits. We’d had some delicious lychee martinis at a bar in Vancouver, so lychee liqueur was a must. We got some vanilla vodka and a few other treats.

The next time we made cocktails in, we created the following drink, mixed in a cocktail shaker over ice:

2 shots lychee liqueur
1 shot vanilla vodka
Pink grapefruit juice
Juice of one lime

Serve in martini glasses rimmed with sugar. Serves two.

Delicious!

Sitting and sipping our homemade cocktails, my boyfriend mentioned that these were at least $10 drinks in a bar, probably more.

Realizing that they cost us less than a dollar each, we dubbed them the “$9 off.” Enjoy.

Thanks Angela. Enjoy - they are a favorite with us.
I adore lychees and martinis! This recipe sounds absolutely delish. Hope you've got more where that came from!

Thanks, Angela. It is a new favorite. Another great one is vanilla vodka, ginger ale and a twist of lime - excellent!

This sounds like a great drink. I've made lychee martinis but usually just use lychee syrup with vodka...can't wait to try these.
