I know that I am out of shape. Way out of shape. I have done some classes before using weight machines and free weights. Also taken many aerobics classes. I just don’t have the stick with it drive. So I have committed myself for thirty days at Curves. They are having a “Thirty Days, Thirty Dollars” thing going on. My mom is also doing this with me. So I have my support system. I also walk two miles in the morning with my dad or take the dog for a walk down to the local park which is about a mile.
So today was my first time at Curves. For the first three days you have your progress monitored to go over the machines and make sure you can work them. The flow of Curves is thirty minutes for at least three times a week. There are stations that work a targeted area of the body with a cardio platform in between each machine. There is a recording that tells you when to change and move to the next area. The machines are hydraulic machines. I have never used this type of machine. I have always used machines that you add weight to as you go along or a free weight option of the exercise. Well, my person told me I was doing good and had perfect form on the machines but I need to go a little faster. But that will come as I continue on in my workouts. Well, I did the circuit twice today. Worked up a sweat and I feel like Jello. My next appointment is for Thursday. I figure a rest in between the weights will be good until I am used to it.
