Eating the right foods is the key to health. The majority of people do not eat a proper balance of Alkaline foods, which is a direct cause of diseases of all kinds. Most diets consist of a majority of acidy foods. All foods are either one or the other, alkaline or acid. In order to stay alive the blood has to stay at a level of 7.4 alkaline. If we do not provide enough alkaline foods for the blood to get it from it will leach alkaline from the body. It leaches from our bones and our organs. So you can see how important it is to eat the proper balance of alkaline foods. The recommended percentage is that each meal should be at least 70 percent to 80 percent alkaline. The problem is most people are lucky to be getting even 20 percent to 30 percent. An example of extremely acidic foods is:
Artificial sweetners, beef, beer, brown sugar, white bread, carbonated soft drinks, refined cereals, chocolate, cigarettes and tobacco, coffee, cream of wheat, dear, fish, white or wheat flour, fruit juices with sugar, jams and jellies, lamb, liquor, maple syrup, molasses, white pasta, white flour pastries and cakes, pickles, pork, poultry, seafood, sugar, table salt, black tea, white vinegar, whole wheat foods, wine, and sweetened yogurt.
An example of moderately acidic foods is: green bananas, barley (rye), blueberries, bran, butter, unrefined cereals, cheeses, unrefined crackers (rye, rice and wheat), cranberries, dried mung, adzuki, pinto, kidney and garbanzo beans, dry coconut, egg whites, eggs whole cooked hard, fructose, goats milk, honey, ketchup, maple syrup, homogenized milk, most nuts, mustard, oats, olives, whole grain pasta, pastries, plums, popcorn with salt and butter, potatoes, prunes, rice, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, soy sauce, and wheat bread.
These are the foods most people eat the majority of. That is where the problem comes and why there is so much disease and sickness.
In order to eat the proper balance only 20 to 30 percent of your daily food should come from the list above and 70 percent to 80 percent should come from the foods listed below:
Two of the most extreme alkaline foods are lemons and watermelon.
Some good choices of alkaline forming foods are: cantaloup, cayenne celery, dates, figs, kelp, limes, mango, melons, papaya, parsley, seaweeds, seedless grapes (sweet), and watercress.
Some moderately alkaline choices are: sweet apples, alfalfa sprouts, apricots, avocados, ripe bananas, currants, garlic, grapefruit, less sweet grapes, guavas, leafy green herbs, leafy green lettuce, nectarine, sweet peaches, less sweet pears, fresh sweet peas, sweet pumpkin, vegetable sea salt, sour apples, fresh green beans, beets, bell peppers, broccoli, cabbage, carob, cauliflower, fresh, ginger, sour grapes, pale green lettuce, oranges, less sweet peaches, less sweet peas, potatoes with skins, less sweet pumpkin, raspberries, strawberries, squash, sweet corn, turnip, apple cider vinegar.
Some slightyly alkaline choices are: almonds, artichokes, brussel sprouts, cherries, fresh coconut, cucumbers, eggplant, raw honey, leeks, mushrooms, okra, ripe olives, onions, homemade pickles, radishes, sea salt, spices, tomatoes, sweet brown rice, dry roasted chestnuts, egg yolks soft cooked, mayonnaise, olive oil, sesame seeds whole, dry soy beans, soy cheese, soy milk, sprouted grains, tofu, tomatoes less sweet, nutritional flake yeast.
Some neutral choices are: fresh unsalted butter, raw fresh cream, cows milk and whey, margarine, oils (except olive), plain yogurt.
So, the best way to get healthy is to eat a diet that is 70 percent to 80 percent alkaline choices. One way to look at that would be if you have three items on your plate, one can be an acidy choice and two alkaline choices, then choose something to drink that is also alkaline such as lemonade or have watermelon for desert or some other alkaline choice.
One of the things that will happen soon after you begin to change your diet is you may think you have a cold because your body will be eliminating the mucus and acid in the body. In other words it will begin to cleanse itself. When the body eliminates toxins, waste, and acid, it can seem like a bad think because you may get pimples or other skin eruptions. This is A GOOD THING. This will pass and at that point you will begin to enjoy a healthier lifestyle, with more energy and you will have less fat on the body after time. You can expect to lose a half lb per day if you are consistent with this change. For optimum health, it is best to try to stay away from foods on the first food list. For most people that is not possible but for anyone interested in better health that is the best way.
