The Weight Is Almost Over!

Who woulda thunk that by cutting out the things I love the mostest ... cakes, cookies, chocolate candy bars, and replacing these fave snacks with my own concoction of “macapapple” (mix of macadamia & dried pineapple), that I managed to have lost over thirty pounds in six months. Well, that’s not exactly true ... I have been eating a little bit healthier ... mostly Lean Cuisines, Smart Ones, and my newest fave Healthy Choice meals.

When I started this weight reducing quest, mind you, it’s not a diet, cause I still eat regular foods, just not as much as before, I had no idea that my body would change so drastically. I feel like Ms. Droopy Pants cause my fave pair of jeans (complete with a rip in the knee), are practically falling off me, but I still love them so I continue to wear them.

My start weight was 169 and my goal was to lose thirty pounds. I am now at 138 and although I should be ecstatic, I’m thinking that possibly I could afford to lose another ten-plus. I went to see my doctor a couple of weeks ago and he asked me how I lost the weight. I told him I cut out a lot of my faves, plus watching what I eat, more or less; however, according to the height to weight chart he has in his office, I’m actually still overweight. He couldn’t believe it and reviewed the chart. Sure enough, according to the chart, I’m still overweight by seven or so pounds. Needless to say, my doctor didn’t agree with the chart and said my weight of 138 was proportionate to my height 5’3”. I’m thinking otherwise.

I get a lot of compliments these days, for which I’m grateful, and I smile and say thanks ... I never acknowledged that I was trying to lose weight though. That’s between me, myself, and I.
