How do you really create the great skin you’ve been looking for? It starts with a healthy diet. Fresh, natural foods—not canned, not in a box, and, if possible, not from the freezer. Try the following skin care tips!
Skin care tips:
Proteins: Seafood, especially salmon, is great for the skin. Many health-conscious dermatologists recommend eating salmon a few times a week. Chicken and turkey are better than beef, and mixing beans with rice is also a great source of protein.
Vegetables: Raw vegetables are very good for you but, unfortunately, they’re not easy to digest. Unless you know your digestive system is working perfectly, you’re better off with steaming. To ensure hydration, include plenty of garlic and onions.
Fruit: Raw and fresh, provides the alpha-hydroxy acids that keep your skin pH balanced. Apples, grapes, blackberries, and citrus fruits are best. If you’re looking for something to help aging skin, go for cherries and blueberries. They’re high in the antioxidants you need to fight free radicals.
Dairy: Truthfully, unless you can get raw dairy, you’re probably better off without it. Processing dairy foods removes the enzymes that nature provided to enable us to digest dairy. If you do have access to raw dairy, you’re in luck: the high essential fatty acid content encourages moisture production and helps remove excess dead skin cells.
