Carl Jung managed to discover the real meaning of dreams after researching the unknown content of the human psyche through dream interpretation. He observed that the unconscious mind that produces our dreams works like a natural doctor.
He admitted that the unconscious mind was responsible for giving us religious inclinations. However, he was afraid to be considered too religious, especially due to the atheistic mindset that characterized his time, which prevails until today. He declared many times in his books that the contradictions he found in the teachings of Christianity should be explained by theologians, without researching this matter any further.
He believed in the possibility of the existence of a morality that would be beyond what is good and what is bad. Jung thought that the unconscious mind could be wise and evil at the same time, which is contradictory because real wisdom is based on goodness, compassion and understanding. He considered the unconscious mind responsible for provoking mental illnesses in the human conscience, even though he recognized that it was in fact a wise doctor. This was a very strange contradiction because a mental illness is a serious destruction and the unconscious mind keeps trying to prevent it.
Jung couldn’t understand how absurd his conclusions were because he believed in the possibility of the coexistence of what is good and what is bad, while both are totally opposite. Evilness eliminates goodness, and real goodness fights against evilness.
What is evil in the human mind is the selfish human conscience, and not the wise unconscious mind. The underdeveloped human conscience keeps making mistakes due to its selfishness and due to its ignorance. The unconscious mind is wise and saintly, while the ignorant human conscience keeps doing what is destructive.
If Jung would recognize this truth, he would have to admit that the human conscience is absurd and therefore the human being cannot trust his own conscience. This statement wouldn’t be accepted by anyone. Jung couldn’t accept it either, even though he had verified that the human conscience was one sided and underdeveloped.
I had to accept this bitter truth, due to all the information I had collected in my life time. I saw very clearly that the human being is an idiot which makes many mistakes for following his absurd conscience. However, he or she could attain a higher level of knowledge and perfect mental health by following the wise guidance of the unconscious mind.
I therefore concluded that we must obey the wise unconscious guidance in our dreams. At the same time, we must be very afraid of our ignorant and selfish conscience because it leads us to despair with its mistakes.
Thanks to this comprehension, I could discover the roots of human absurdity. What I discovered was there is a huge wild part in the human brain which works independently of our human conscience. This is the anti-conscience, our primitive conscience. It is a true demon which tries to destroy the human side of our conscience through craziness so that it may control our behavior instead of being tamed by our sensibility.
Our human conscience is one-sided and under-developed because the biggest part of our brain belongs to our wild conscience, which remains in a primitive condition. Only when we manage to transform the wild content we have inherited in our brain, into positive human content, acquiring complete consciousness, will we get rid of all mental illnesses.
