What could be better than setting aside an afternoon or early evening to share refreshments and interesting conversation with like-minded friends? If you are ready for such a spring-fling it is time to consider hosting a “pamper me party” in the comfort of your own home. Treat the people you care about to facials, manicures, or even pedicures.
Create a small guest list to ensure an intimate and relaxing environment. Allow guests to arrive in comfortable clothing including lounging attire and even cozy bedroom slippers. If they choose, also encourage bathrobes.
Assemble a peaceful ambiance with scented candles, mood lighting, and tranquil music. If you can, clear a space in your largest gathering room and provide bath blankets and fluffy pillows.
For the refreshments be sure to have lots of sparkling water or juice in clear goblets adorned with slices of citrus fruits including lemon, lime, or orange. Have sides of light and healthy whole fruits and vegetables to nibble during the party. Be sure that no one has a dietary restriction before the gathering commences. Once everyone is settle with their drinks and food selections hand out beauty and fashion magazines to peruse.
Depending on the beauty treatment chosen give each guest their own small foot or hand bowl for soaking. Have a small selection of samples size toners, masks, cleansers or even make your own to distribute. Add a stock of cotton balls, nail files, lotions, pumice stones and other goodies that fit your budget, such as nail polishes, and hand/feet oils or creams.
Then, let the fun begin. Encourage everyone to experiment with treatments that they might not have tried in the past due to apprehension or simply because they just don’t take the time to pamper themselves! What better way to prove to yourself and those you appreciate that you deserve this body-mind healing?
