What Do You Really Want to Do?

So—how many times do we make decisions based on what we think people think of us? Our fears? Our doubts? Ooh, if I do that, what is she going to think of me? If I don’t do that, what are “they” going to say? Hey, people, we have one life to liveonly one! And, believe it or not, all those corny greeting cards and mushy songs on FM radio are correct—damn! It goes by so very quickly! So, if you make a list of all the things that you do in one week, that you really, truly, do not want to do—how much time does that come out to? Two hours? Four hours? What in the hell would you be doing with that time, if you had it freed up? Cuddling with your hubby on the couch? Playing a game, or watching a funny show with the kids? Yakking it up on the phone with the friend “that you never have time to call?”  Wow …is this amazing or what? On our deathbeds, will we be thinking, “Dang, glad I never missed those committee meetings …they really made a difference!”

Please …prioritize …make your daily, weekly, or monthly “bucket list,” then don’t let anyone but you mess with it. It is your life. Take the “coulda, shoulda, woulda completely out of your thoughts!”
