I’m a self-confessed insecure kind of person. Insecure with a lot of things. I guess my insecurities stems from the fact that really society have their standards of beauty and unfortunately I did not make it to that standard. Like other girls, I envied those who can make heads turn again when they walk along the streets. Those who can take a man’s breath away. Those who never experience singleness because always there’s someone who will knock on their hearts after someone goes away. Those who are really beautiful not just in the eyes of their moms and friends.
Fortunately, I did not let that insecurity eats me up, although once in a while I question why fate is like that. I get to accept things the way they are. Because I always think that I’m luckier than other people. Some are facing problems that are million times than I have. I channeled my insecurities to other worthy activities. And one of it is through writing.
And when I discovered Divine Caroline (or should I say Divine Caroline found me, LOL!) I am very grateful. Because I found a perfect venue to pour out my heart. It’s like a new B-F-F. And it helps me uplift my spirit especially when I found my name on the byline.
I hope that this new friendship with DC will last. Thank you for being there. Thank you, Divine Caroline!
