Having been in the ministry since the early age of twenty-four, (I’m now fifty-three.) I’ve gone through many spiritual transformations. I care not to list any certifications of men in an attempt to validate my belief, for faith speaks for itself. I’m always a tad bemused at how people refer to faith as a religious belief, when its definition is quite explicit in the bible. I’m sure that my usage of the term “bible” gave credence as to in whom I believe: “the Lord Jesus; Son of the Living God.” I recall vividly the actual place and time when and where I heard God’s voice replying to a query I had asked Him. (Yes, I do hear Him.) The question I asked went as follows: “Lord, I’ve heard preached from many clergy and laity alike, what faith is. Could you please affirm to me what faith truly is?” November 1996 was the time, and I was on a break at my former place of employment here in Pittsburgh. What I then heard from the Lord, challenged my belief system, and shattered the misconceptions of faith that men have erroneously taught. Being a prophet of the Lord; it’s incumbent upon me to know the truth, and to know it precisely. “Faith is the ground or confidence in the immutability of God’s spoken Word: His Word which is spoken from His mouth!” The prophet Isaiah said, “LORD whom hath believed the hearing of us; or, our hearing You?” So for the one that hears the voice of God via literal relationship with Him (the Father, Word, and Holy Ghost); it also behooves that one to obey God’s voice. He that created the mouth can speak, after all. What most call miracles, I refer to them simply as the works of God. I expect the Lord to do what He says He’ll do. I have found Him (God) to be all that he says that He is: “the great I Am that I Am.” I’ve written enough for now, and do hope that my words were in no wise confusing.

I also have heard God's voice, and had a long and varied relationship with some one who is greater than we can immagine. Baptized at 8, "born again" at 18 and baptized in the Holy Spirit, Nearly 20 years in active ministry. Now I go to one church for Sunday school and Bible study, a different church for worship, and an interfaith prayer group to pray for world peace. When I taught prayer in a Bible college I liked telling my students that yes pray because God is always listening but don't forget to listen because God is always speaking. I agree most sermons on faith miss the point by trying to make people believe the unbelievable. Faith is more about a trusting relationship that allows God to inform & advise our decisions, after all God is the source of wisdom. God Bless You !
