I turned forty-six on July 2, 2007. I work as a CNA in a nursing home, I work the midnight shift 10:30 pm until 7 am. In early October I hurt my back lifting a resident, I started seeing a Chiropractor. I’d get off work at seven and be at the chiropractors by 8 am. I went every morning for a little over four months on January 17, 2007 at 8 am. I was in the chiropractors office an he said to me Terry we’ve ben at this for 4 months now and your not getting any better if any thing your geting worse. So I asked him what now and he said we’ll just keep trying. So i went home put the ice pack on my back as instructed and just layed around the rest of the day.
I left for work at 9:15 pm cause it’s a good hour drive to work I was on a country road headed for work at about 9:55 pm. I was hurting so bad I had tears in my eyes and the next thing I knew was I was saying Lord if you are real please come in to my life and heal my back it hurts so bad I just can’t stand it no more and all of a sudden I felt a warm sensation on my back and I could literally feel the pain leaving my back in minutes it was completely gone it was the first time in months that I was completely pain free. Needless to say the next Sunday I went to church and on February 12th I was Baptized and joined the Church. My husband was already a member, I just never had the desire to go but since joining many good things have happen in our lives my husband now teaches the adult Sunday school class at our church. He also fills in and preaches when our pastor is unable to.
Here are just a few things God has done for me since I surrendered my life to him. A short while back my son was laid off. He has a wife and two little girls. He was about to lose his home and unemployment wasn’t enough to keep all he bills paid and with no insurance, things look bad. I got on my knees and I asked God to please let my son be called back to work with in the next seven days. After I had finished my prayer, I realized what I had done I had put a time limit on God I instantly hit my knees and asked for forgiveness. And guess what? Seven days later, my son was called back to work an all is well. A few months after that my second son found three spots the doctor thought was cancer again I prayed because cancer runs in our family my mom had it, I had it, and my daughter had it. I asked God to please not let it be cancer or any thing life threatening. Guess what? It wasn’t, it was just what they call extra pieces of skin, nothing to worry about. God is still answering prayers all you have to do is ask and believe. Nobody can tell me any different. Gods there, just invite him in to your heart he will never leave you. He’s still answering prayers.
