It’s Time to Get Serious

No matter what you learn, it’s not going to help if you don’t believe in yourself. You can read many books, listen to pod casts, and go to seminars but if you don’t have the confidence in yourself, you won’t see much change. With that being said, you must introduce yourself to people who are doing what you want to do. Get as much information about your subject of interest as possible. You can’t afford to only look for free information. Remember the old sayings, “Nothing in life is free” or “You get what you pay for”? You better believe it or you will continually be oblivious to how the world works. You must also realize that change will not always come overnight and if it does, don’t depend on that happening every time.

As you go through life looking for ways to improve your life, you will often find yourself in a rut. The rut is leading you to a crossroad where you will have to make a decision. It’s at this point your life will begin to move or shift. It will either move in a positive or negative manner. Based upon the decisions you make, life will respond by giving you a win or lose situation. Don’t worry if you find yourself on the losing end because you will be confronted with another choice that could put you on the winning end. Sometimes these changes can be instant but often they take time.

Don’t make the mistake of refusing to change. I had a young lady tell me one time that she wasn’t going to change no matter what. It doesn’t surprise me that eight years later this young lady is still complaining about the same things she was when I met her. When you get the nudge in your spirit that you should be doing something different, you must listen. You don’t have to act at the moment, but you should acknowledge it. The nudge is a sign of wisdom within yourself trying to make you aware of what’s coming in the future.

Truely words of wisdom, Mr. Hardyway. I see you as a seeker of the light and a sharer of vision. Thank you for the words.

Nicely put! So many of us are at those crossroads that you talked about, and since we have no prior knowledge; we do not recognize the opportunity of making a choice. Enjoyed!
