The divine favor of a Sovereign God given to each of His children. Are you listening, do you hear Him calling in His still small voice whispering, child, “I love you.” Every child needs the love of their parents, the feeling of belonging, acceptance, approval, and love. Without the fulfillment of these needs, the child is adrift, needy in a world of people. In regard to love: 1 John 3:1-2 “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the children of God! And that is what we are!
The reason the world did not know us, is that it did not know Him.” In regards to belonging: 1 John 3:19-20 “This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything.” In regards to acceptance: Acts 10:34-35 “Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.’ In regards to approval: 1 Thessalonians 1:4 “On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.” Have you ever experienced the divine favor of God?
Would you know it if you did? Or would you attribute the occurrence to coincidence, not realizing the divine favor came from a Sovereign God who is pursuing you with a heart of love. Psalms 147:4.
He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.” According to the Web site Universe Today there’s over 100 billion x 100 billion stars. God knows each star by name, but more importantly He knows your name. Do you know Him? My prayer for you is that you will accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. I do not believe in coincidences and as you read this article, my prayer is that you will also know this is no coincidence, but a Sovereign God who longs for you to know Him.
