Have you ever contemplated divine living and the significance of that phrase? Reference 2 Peter 1:3-4 “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”
Just turn on the TV, radio or internet and your ears will be filled with all the upheaval in this world. Reference John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” The word world in this verse refers to people.Reference Luke 18:8b “When the Son of Man, Jesus, comes will He find faith on the earth?” Reference Romans 10:12b-13;16b-17 “The same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ Isaiah says,” Lord who has heard our message? Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of Christ.
Go ahead and question yourself about what other source of information is available for the people of the earth? In the Bible look up the book of Genesis and start reading Genesis 1 and you will read “and God said.”
God spoke this world/creation into existence. Reference Romans 1:20 “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities--His eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Living in this world presents you with numerous opportunities to make a decision or choice>action,>habit>behavior>character>destiny. But there is one choice that will dramatically or excitedly change your life and can only be decided by you, since you have already been chosen!
Reference Ephesians 1:3-4 “Praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He-God the Father chose us in Him-Jesus Christ before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight-God the Father.” Reference John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Please don’t miss making the important connections between these next 3 verses. Number 1, only you can decide if you are going to believe. Jesus is a gentleman and He will knock at your heart’s door with His voice, but He will not enter your heart unless He is invited to come into your heart.
Reference Revelation 3:20 “Here I Am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with Him and He with me.” Reference Matthew 4:1-4 ” Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry. The tempter came to Him and said, ‘If your are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.’“ Now, imagine yourself being hungry for forty days and nights, how would you answer the devil? More importantly how did Jesus answer?
Reference 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘ Man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God.’“ Reference 1 Peter 2:22 “He-Jesus committed no sin, and no deciet was found in His mouth.” Can you say the me about your life? I certainly cannot and neither can any other person on earth! Reference Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Reference James 4: 17 “Anyone, then who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.”
