I’ve never been prouder of anything in my life.
It started in January of this year when I booked a trip to the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas. I had wanted to go to Vegas for years, finally got the chance.
I enjoyed the trip
I just didn’t enjoy the hotel stay,
During the five nights I was there I was approached at least twenty-four times by people trying to sell me a time-share. I complained to the front desk five times, nothing was done. On one occasion when I approached the desk to complain, the person at the desk tried to sell me a time share before I could even open my mouth to complain.
Almost the minute I got home I started calling the hotel to demand a refund.
Between February and July I called at least 500 times. At least.
At one point the hotel sent me a letter from their lawyer making a “formal demand” that I “cease and desist” calling the hotel.
I started calling more often after that.
Finally after five months the hotel gave in. Maybe they realized I wasn’t going to give up. Maybe they finally figured out that I was costing them more money in staff time and toll free phone calls than my refund would be. Maybe they even decided it would be the right thing to do.
I’ve never been prouder of anything in my life.
