What Was Your Favorite Trend from Back Then?

No matter what decade you grew up in, there were always the must-have fashion items that virtually guaranteed your place in the popular elite. Whether it was bellbottoms, Ray Bans, Co-Ed Naked t-shirts, or jelly bracelets, what was your to-die-for fashion fad?

LA Gear high-tops, or my Converse, slouchy/ scrunch socks, slap braclets, OP t-shirts, Swatch watch, wearing mis-matched earrings, peel off nail polish, neon skirt with leggins that had the lace cuffs. Oh man I still love the 80's

When I was in high school I wore a lot of pink. Pink button down, pink Converse tennis shoes, pink belt, pink wide wale corduroy pants, and yes, pink lip gloss!!

Slap bracelets and Day Glo EVERYTHING. I remember dressing for school one day in an oversized Day Glo pink sweatshirt, Day Glo blue leggings, Day Glo yellow socks, and purple high tops. Thank god the eighties are over!!

ii'm gonna date myself here, but the first trendy piece of clothing i had to have was a liz blouse, when i was in high school. they were these little white cotton blouses with ruffles around the neck, down the front and around the hem and sleeve cuff. horrible to iron.

I grew up in the 80's. We loved Levi Jeans, T- Shirts, Big Hair, Big Jewelry, High Tops and Forever Krystal Perfume. Also went through the stage of French Rolls or pinning the pants tight and putting our socks over the tops. I am so happy the big hair is no longer in style! LOL

I'm a 90's babe, so when I was a child me and my friends lived for barney light up shoes. As I got older we always whore our hair in braids with colorful beads or glow-in-the-dark beads, and our overalls. Timberland's were also the thing in elementary school. I could go on and on with this wonderful trip down memory lane but i'll spare you the stories.
I have this incredibly awesome picture of my sister and I wearing matching outfits in 1988 on my bedside table. Fluorescent striped shirts, matching pegged leggings (I hear ya AFord!), LA Gear high tops, and ... wait for it ... DOUBLE SCRUNCHED SOCKS! Yes. I had on one pair of neon pink socks intricately scrunched over a lime green pair. Pair that with my matching headband and earrings that looked like plastic sunglasses--I was one stylin' six-year-old.
