Lady Gaga’s aquamarine wig from the CFDA Awards made us want to do two things: eat copious amounts of cotton candy and watch the The Little Mermaid, ideally at the same time. That said, we here at DivineCaroline liked the look. The pop of color complemented her complexion and added a bit of whimsy to her otherwise harsh ensemble (black studded bodysuit with sky-high platform boots, in case you missed it). But just as we were about to commit our allegiance to Technicolor tresses, we remembered the Smurf-ish terror that was Katy Perry’s electric-blue locks at the MTV Movie Awards last year. Clearly, brilliant filaments aren’t for everyone. What do you think? Are wild wigs a hit or a miss?
