If You Want to Sell the House, Mow the Lawn
Every gardener loves the satisfaction of creating a well-crafted design on his front lawn with just a few pushes of the old John Deere. Wilkinson and JWT are apparently banking on this love-of-gardening frenzy to transfer to other lawns, those more, ahem, south of the border. Innuendo and subtlety do the trick nicely in this ad for the new Wilkinson Sword for women. Too bad this gardening technique will never make it to HGTV.
The much more subtle US Schick Quattro version can be seen here.

I think this ad is a bit ridiculous and is undoing all "real beauty" work out there. I understand Schick is trying to sell a product here, but this is something that could really mess up women's views of their bodies and of beauty itself (especially teenagers). "Mowing the lawn" should be a personal preference. If your partner has a problem with your hedges, talk about it, trim it, or find a different man who is up for a little wildness. It's not my concern what anyone wants to do down there. But Schick, mind your own damn business and don't screw up more what is already extremely broken. Follow Dove's example and try to make some money fixing our skewed idea of beauty.
