Four-Foot-Ten … Wishing I Was Six Feet Tall

I can pull off a wool Chanel suit and a silk orange scarf. I know I can.

I may have to get the pants hemmed first, though.

Hear me roar.

This is how I feel about my hair---it's kinky, curly, and "permy-looking," as you put it. I've always struggled with it, and it doesn't help when other people say, "Oh, you're so lucky to have curls."

As a 'petite" short woman (I'm pear shaped and am 4 feet 10 inches), I am a bit relieved to read that I'm not alone in this problem. (Oh you're so cute! You're so lucky you're so skinny!) (I'm small framed and watch what I eat,it's not that hard). You are a wonderful writer. Keep those articles coming!

As a tall woman (I am 6ft) I can honestly report that we go through the exact same problems. I have a terrible finding clothing that fits, people are constantly telling me I am tall, like I haven't noticed yet, and I look at smaller women and wonder what it must be like not to hit their heads on light fixtures, or have to squeeze into plane and car seats. The grass is always greener... Great writing though!
It feels good to write.
