Although mystery shopping is not a work from home job, it is still a job that can be a great fit for stay at home mothers, because it is flexible and convenient. In most cases, you can bring your kids with you to the assignments. Mystery shopping is one way that moms can make extra money, and many times, it is by visiting places that you already visit on a regular basis.
Grocery stores, banks, hair salons, restaurants, fast food, concerts, and baseball games are all places that have mystery shoppers. When I did mystery shopping in the past, I tried to schedule my shopping trips for when I would normally need to run those types of errands. If you need to go to the grocery store, then why not make an extra twenty dollars while you are there? Mystery shopping is a real job, despite what many believe. Many people I know make good money doing it. It can be done as much or as little as you would like, but in order to get enough work, you usually need to sign up with several different companies and take assignments as you can get them.
Beware however, because mystery shopping is also frequently used as a scam to lure money out of those looking for work.
