I recently read another’s comments on work and really enjoyed her comments and it got me thinking about my work and why I do it and why I always put myself aside to help others. I know god guides everyday even on tough days and days when I think “should I being do this!” Then I realize when I make a difference in ones life even small it’s why I keep doing it with all the hardships and challenging problems that arise.
I feel god gave me many skills and communication is one and he put in corrections for a reason even though there are days when I feel I should do something else. To guide another person in the right direction and give him food for thought about the path he has chosen and the skills to change them is challenging but rewarding! Not all cases turn out the way you want them but if only one leaves your custody and ventures forward to a successful god driven path you are the one that has succeeded in giving that lost soul a new direction for hope and a life that will be full of rewarding successes and be surrounded by people that wont let him stray again. Keeping his faith close at hand always.
I realize I work corrections not for personal rewards but to be able to turn a life around in the right direction so he may pass his own difficult experiences on in a learning way and to share his hardships to keep hopefully another person from experiencing the wrong path that he may have taken earlier on in life.
Saint Joseph’s spirit guides me everyday in my work and no matter how challenging I know he is with me. Amen.
