Tax Refund: Cruise or Credit Card Debt?

Around this time of year, many Americans start calculating how much of a tax return they’ll get—then we start planning how to spend it. The chunk of cash can pay off that credit card debt accumulated during the holidays or fund a vacation for the family.

Are you expecting a refund and what will you do with the moo-lah?

Credit Card Debt! I only have credit cards for emergencies when traveling; I've got just a little over 1k to pay off on one, and a little over $500 to pay off on the other, then I'll have my safety net intact again. Anything over goes to the principle on the car loan. :)

I'm using some for credit card debt, and saving some (hopefully!).

I'll be using my tax refund to pay my property tax. Some fun.

Credit card debt. My goal is to have it whittled down to zero come summer. I love beating the system as much as I love a good trip, which I feel better about doing if I don't have debt gnawing at my conscience.

This is always such a tough one. I know I should pay off debt, but for the love of sunblock, I haven't had a vacation in forever! Any money applied to a plane ticket out of everyday life is money well spent, if you ask me. I vote for vacation!
