How Would You Survive with No Money?
This has happened before, although it wasn't when I woke up. My family and I were out of town and when we came back home, we saw firetrucks and police cars crowded on the street. As we continued pulling up, we saw that it was our own house that was fire. It was 3 days after Christmas, so we lost everything- 10 years worth. We ended up moving in with family and it was already a crowded house with 5 other people- just add 4 more. Without them, we would have had no where to go.
Unfortunately, this has happened to me. I did wake up one morning and found out that my husband had wiped out the bank account and skipped town. I literally had $72 to my name. My family was a huge help but our local social services office provided assistance as well as great information. It took me awhile before I was able to get back on track and it is frightening. I learned much from this experience and now know how to really cut corners and don't take things for granted.

I suppose that we would turn to family and if necessary sell our possessions.

If I am all out of money, I would ask my family or friends for help.

I'm unemployed, but my husband works so other then food and shelter I don't ask for anything, the only time I really get spending money is if I win on the contests I enter or once a year I get half the income tax refund minus any money that may have been loaned to me through out the year, example on the way to our daughters wedding 1200 miles away I got my very first spending ticket, husband payed for it but it was deducted off of my half of refund check. I use to work but no longer do because I feel that since I don't ask for anything and survive on no money I can enjoy staying at home. I also feel my health is not the best for daily work outside of the house and don't collect any payment for it l simply stay home and enter contest hoping for my win, If I really had to work to survive I would as I have worked 2 jobs at one time in the past and have even cleaned bricks for 3 cents each to survive, I started babysitting at the age of 8 to help my parents out,
If I had to, I would turn to family - and they know they could turn to me for help, too.

Unlike most people. We have a savings account for emergency purposes and a 401k that we can tap into until we both find jobs.

We would have to come out of retirement and find jobs.
