I usually drive to work and I find listiening to music whether it is a radio station or my favoite downloads helps me to relax. Also, I ike the music extra loud. Sometimes I like to window shop alone to help relieve stress. I like to walk around a store and not necessarily buy anything, just look around. Of course there is always the comfort food issue. Some times I like to stop at my favorite ice cream shop or a fast food restaurant, sit in my car alone and indulge.

I always have a magazine or a book in my gigantic purse. And sometimes a bottle of yogurt or a cereal bar. Or a banana. That gives me energy and lowers my stress levels while I'm in the bus.

I rarely am without a book. Yes a book. Not a kindle, nor a nook, just old school book. It may take me longer to finish it, reading it only on my ride to and fro, but I also have had some great conversations with wonderful people! That helps lower stress levels as well!

My commute just doubled to an hour and a half each way. I found that a cup of coffee from the Kureg and books on tape really make the commute a breeze. I am showing up at the library every week picking up two new books. I really enjoy them.

During a subway ride on rush hour the best thing for me is turn on my Kobo, read a great eBook and get lost in it.

I always have a freshly brewed cup of coffee ready to go while on the road. Just this small, warm treat makes me feel as if I have brought a bit of home with me and brings a sense of comfort.

Zoning out is the only way I can survive my bus ride. I usually put on my headphones, and wear sunglasses. Yes, even if it's raining outside. It's really the only way I can avoid talking to the crazies on the MUNI in SF. When I get to work, a big cup of Earl Grey and a minute or two on Perez Hilton can usually take the stress away!

I sit down with a cup of hot tea and a scone I made, either while I'm still home or when I get to work. I have to have a few minutes of "just me".
